The design of the pcStudio is the mix of a modern style with traditional structure. The pcStudio has a configuration that is very common in school desks today. By keeping this structure familiar it will be easier to adapt the pcStudios into current classrooms that were not designed with a computer driven use in mind. Teachers benefit by being able to control the class pace and organize content to all of the workstations within the classroom network. Students who have access to pcStudios will benefit from having a digital course structure, all assignments and course material can be downloaded onto a small flash drive and then be used from their home pc. The day to day exposure to a computer interface and work structure will give students vital experience preparing them for the jobs of tomorrow.
During class the monitors can display anything from videos, web pages, text pages, or notes that the instructor is reciting. The pcStudio is equipped with a keyboard and can function just as any other pc allowing the students to enhance their typing ability and increase their confidence at the computer. Students can use a stylus on the touch sensitive display to write papers, solve math equations, highlight text, and take notes.
